Quality versus Object Oriented (3)
OOP doesn’t mean quality, but OOP aids to reach quality compliance.
Some instruments are necessary to estimate quality compliance (ISO9126) of a project:
- Metric Evaluation
- Metric Validation
- Metric Selection
- Rating Level definition
- Assessment criteria definition
TAC++ offers several of these characteristics.
Notes:
The detected relationships can aid in the metrics definition process, because a good application of OOP influences several quality characteristics.
What can be measured with TAC++ how much a system is “Object Oriented” and id the OOP criteria are respected.
This don’t means directly that the quality is measured and obtained, but it is a valid aid in reaching quality compliance.
Several characteristics required by ISO9126 standard are present among the various TAC++ features.
