Description According to the new trends, final users are interested in acquiring content from different distribution channels and in using it on different devices/tools, while interchanging the content among devices and tools. This paper depicts the main scenario and reports a unified architecture supporting multichannel distribution and content interoperability. The paper presents the results produced in this area within AXMEDIS IST FP6, a research and development integrated project (Automating Production of Cross Media Content for Multi-channel Distribution) partially funded by the European Commission.
